Combined Values Chart calculator

California doesn’t add impairments — it combines them, because each rating is a percentage of what the last one left. Enter any number of percentages; this shows the schedule’s fold step by step, largest first, rounding where the schedule rounds. Why it works this way: the CVC explained.

The fold, step by step
Sorted largest first: 20 · 15 · 10
20 C 15 = 20 + 15 − (20×15)/100 = 32.0032
32 C 10 = 32 + 10 − (32×10)/100 = 38.8039

Rounding at each step is why order matters: the schedule prescribes largest-first, and a different order can land a point off. Same-extremity impairments combine on that limb’s own scale first (capped at amputation value) before reaching this step.

The chart

Every cell is the formula evaluated and rounded — the published PDRS chart is this table precomputed. Row = the larger value, column = the value being combined into it.

Need a value outside this grid, or more than two impairments? Use the calculator above — it takes any whole percentages and folds them in the schedule’s order. Turn the combined rating into money on the settlement calculator, or build the whole case — impairment numbers, occupation, age, apportionment — in the rating calculator.
